Grown since the 19th century, China White Winter produces oblong radishes 15-20 cm long and 5-6 cm in diameter with white, crisp, juicy flesh and a pungent, bitter taste. It can be sown in the spring, but winter radishes are usually sown in mid-summer, preferably in a sunny or slightly shaded area. Keep the soil moist, both during germination and cultivation.
