The Royal Burgundy bean variety produces thin, round pods about 13-15 cm tall on dwarf plants about 45-50 cm tall with green foliage that tolerate cooler nights. Note that the purple colored beans when fresh turn green after cooking.

Conditions of germination:

depth of sowing: 2.5 cm

optimal temperatures of germination: 18 to 29ºC

time for germination: 5 to 12 days

direct sowing after any risk of frost when the soil is warm (18ºC and above)
