Mesclun (homemade mix)
Our original mesclun is composed of a variety of sweet and colorful lettuces (Lollo Rossa and Selway red leaf lettuces, green and red oak leaf lettuces, Parris Island romaine lettuce) to which we have added a range of chicories carefully chosen for their slightly spicy taste (Fine de Louviers, Puntarella, radicchio Triestino), all enhanced by the shapes, textures and colors of arugula, Extra Red Giant mustard and Red Garnet amaranth.
Growing tips
Conditions of germination:
depth of sowing: 5 mm
optimal temperatures for germination: 10 to 22ºC

When to sow:
direct and successive sowing every two weeks as soon as the soil is worked in spring, until September

Sprinkle seeds into the intended hole, in a container or in the ground, then spread the seeds out as best as possible so that they do not overlap

Our original mesclun contains many beautiful greens! Shoots of mizuna (Japanese salad cabbage), osaka purple mustard, red giant mustard, red amaranth, as well as an impressive mix of chicories: Bordeaux escarole, Giant vegetable escarole, Pan di Zucchero radicchio, Ruffec fine chicory, Puntarella di Galatina radicchio, Palla Rossa Precoce, and a hint of Witloof chicory. A complex mix of sweet, peppery, sweet and bitter flavors that we hope you will enjoy. Harvest and enjoy when the shoots are young.
