The Hunter bean is a climbing variety with flat green pods about 2 cm wide and 20 cm long. Native to Holland, it is eaten like regular green beans, steamed or stewed, hot or cold. Climbing plants are vigorous and resistant to diseases such as bean mosaic and need support (trellis, fence, stakes) to grow.
