Everything you need to clean, hydrate and calibrate Ppm and Ec probes ensuring you the most accurate readings.
Probe cleaning, hydrating and correctly storing pH probes ensures you get the most accurate readings possible and will maximize the life of the pH probe. Ph instruments require calibration once a month and should be cleaned prior to calibration. The handy pH Probe Care Kit has everything you need to maintain your Bluelab pH Meters, Monitors or Pens.
Product description
The instrument is only as accurate as the probe is clean. Probe cleaning is one of the most important parts of owning or operating any Bluelab meter, monitor or controller. The probe surface is where the instrument takes the reading of the solution. If the probe face is dirty or contaminated, then the reading will be inaccurate. Accurate readings simplify crop management and provide improved growth. To re-stock your conductivity probe care kit, Bluelab 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution is available in 20 ml sachets, 250 ml and 500 ml bottles. Probe Tips All probes are interchangeable between all Bluelab products All probes carry a 6 month warranty Proper hydration of pH probes is vital to maintain wick All pH probes eventually need to be replaced—they can only house so much reference solution KCl storage solution is required for optimum probe maintenance RO water will reduce probe life
To ensure ongoing accuracy and longevity, we recommend that you maintain your Bluelab probes on a regular basis.
While no calibration is required for conductivity and temperature, you will need to calibrate your pH probe. Your Probe Care Kit contains sachets of pH 4.0, pH 7.0 and KCl solutions for calibrating and storing your pH probes, as well as 2.77 EC standard solution for testing your conductivity probe after cleaning. This kit also includes probe cleaner and cleaning instruments.
You’ll have everything you need to clean, calibrate and hydrate your probes – in one compact and affordable kit.
If you want to improve your Bluelab pH product’s accuracy and longevity, you’ll need to get into the habit of regular cleaning and calibration.
Luckily, the easy-to-follow calibration process is the same for all Bluelab pH probes and pens.
After cleaning your pH probe, you’ll need to calibrate it with pH calibration solutions at two reference standards - 4.0 and 7.0 pH. Once calibrated, you can start measuring pH again immediately. You’ll need to recalibrate whenever you clean your pH probe and when your meter alerts you that a calibration is needed.
